This is a tour of epic Mountain Biking: we will start riding some of the classics trails from Pachacamac, before we head up to Santo Domingo de los Olleros, one of the biggest descents and longest single track on the Andes Mountain range. Imagine riding at 3.500 m.a.s.l. and after 3 or 4 hours reaching the shores of the Pacific Ocean. But the best part of the trip will be when we shred the trails of Cusco in our way to discover the magnificent Machu Picchu.

You will find world class level trails in huge landscapes and spectacular views, but the most important you will get a close look of an amazing culture, the Incas.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive

Arrival to Lima. Transfer from airport to our comfortable Hotel

Day 2 – Pachacamac Trails

We will pick you up from the hotel, check the bikes and head up to Pachacamac, 30 km. south from Lima. We will ride at Cardal ruins until Pueblo Viejo ("the Old Village"), an ancient archeological site. Then we climb uphill to the Chirimoyo (650 masl). Afterwards we will start a great technical descent singletrack, directly to the one of the best restaurant of the area, where we will enjoy a delicious meal.

Optional * After / Before the ride we can visit to the Pachacamac Temple, (the most important
archeological site in Lima) to know something about our historic and rich cultural past.

Day 3 – Santo Domingo de los Olleros

We will pick you up at 7:00 am. to climb up via shuttle to our next destination, Santo Domingo de los Olleros, next to 3500 meters above sea level. Here you will experience one of the best and longest singletracks in Peru and maybe in the planet, taking us right into the shores of the Pacific Ocean, after riding about 56 kms.

We'll be passing thru lost villages and unique landscapes like "el Huayco," a dry river bed with the perfect surface to roll over.

Day 4 – Marcahuasi

We will pick you up at 7:00 am. to go to the enigmatic and mystic Marcahuasi plateau (3,500 masl) as part of the acclimatization for our chief goal, the ancient trails of Cuzco.

Marcahausi is a stone forest charged with great energy, a place considered to be sacred for "Chamans and Curanderos" to honour Mother Earth (Pachamamma).

We ride in the plateau to check the amazing natural rock formations and the old "Chulpas", then go downhill to make a little stop and visit San Pedro de Casta, before we take one of the best trails in Lima - where the landscapes are spectacular and the ride purely ridiculous.

Day 5 – Transfer to Cuzco

At 5:00 am you have to be ready to go to the airport to take the local flight to Cuzco (50 min. aprox.). Over there we settle down in our comfortable Hotel. There we will take a rest to acclimatize ourselves with the help of our famous hot mate de coca. If you feel fine, in the afternoon we can take a short ride to check the famous fortress of Sacsayhuaman and other important sites like Tambomachay and Qenko, a great trail that will lead us directly into the main square of Cuzco.

Day 6 – Chinchero - Moray - Maras

After a good local breakfast, we will go towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Our first stop is at Chinchero. At this point we will start riding in a great single track until the Urubamba river shores. In the valley we will have a lunch break before we leave to our next destination: Moray, a very special and powerful place with circular terraces, unique in the Inca civilization. There we will start the descent to the village of Maras. This place is well known for their ancient salt mines and breathtaking landscapes. Here you will find one of the fastest and smoothest trail on the Sacred Valley and have the pleasure to ride it twice, after arriving to the remote village of Pichingoto, where little houses are carved in the stone. You can not imagine the places you are going to see! After this great day, it is time to rest in our comfortable hotel in Ollantaytambo, the "living Inca town."

Day 7  - Pumamarca

This day we will visit the native community of Willoc, from where we will take a trail to the ruins of Pumamarca. This is the fortress where the legendary General Ollantay made a rebelion and took captive the Inca`s daughter, princess Kusykur. From this strategic place we will descent in a technical single track crossing one of the best preserved terraces or Andenes in all the Sacred Valley. This spectacular singletrack will take us at the same ruins of Ollantaytambo. After the great lunch we will have time to visit the ruins and a real Inca town - a very special place, guaranteed.

Day 8 – Machu Picchu

You will take the train from Ollantaytambo Station to visit one of the new 7 wonders of the world, Machu Picchu. There are no words to describe this enigmatic place, you have to live this unique experience and feel the strong magnetic power of the Incas and the connection with Mother Nature.

Day 9 - Megavalanche
